This date can be done just the two of you, but we think it will be even more fun if done as a group date! To make your life even easier, if you’ve got little ones at home, this date includes adorable free printable water activities for the kiddos to do with a babysitter, too! I know what you’re thinking… what DOESN’T this post include? (I’ll tell you… there’s no kitchen sink. Sorry!) Grab your kids and your best friend group and let’s get started! Water Sporting for Date Night
Nothing screams summer quite like an afternoon spent at the beach. Come home after a long day with sun-kissed skin and a wet beach towel… sigh. Sorry, it’s been a long winter! We want to help you capture some of that summer magic with this awesome group date. We’ve got you covered with a free digital invite and some awesome beach games (more on that later!), so all you have to do is pick one of your favorite water action sports you want to try. There are a TON of fun options out there, and maybe you already have a favorite. Or, maybe you’re feeling adventurous and want to try something new. Here are a few of our favorite water sports you can try out at your local lake, beach, bay, or wherever! Did any of these catch your eye? Check out water action sports rentals in your area, or ask around and see if you can borrow what you need from a friend. Friends invited on your group date might have ideas of where to buy kayaks or paddle boards as well!
Fun Beach Game Printables
Now on to the printables! We can’t help but make our date ideas a little extra convenient and cute (it’s kind of our thing), so while you don’t need printables for while you’re out water sporting, we’ve got some fun ideas for when you’re back on the beach.
Ready for Fun in the Sun?
Be sure to check over the games for both kids and adults beforehand to make sure you have everything you need. (For example, you may want to add these giant beach balls to your cart sooner rather than later. They come in a two-pack so there is one for you and one for the kids! You also might want to down a couple of two-liters of your favorite soda before the big day so that your kids have all the supplies for this super fun water game.) We tried to keep everything cheap and simple — and, of course, you can skip any games you don’t want to play. If other couples on your date have kids, consider getting all the kids together for a fun day of water activities! (Hint: this helps save on multiple babysitters, too!) You could even make this an overnight date. After your day full of sun and fun, head to a hotel for some more fun together — this time just the two of you! (wink) Looking for more summer fun?
